At KJ Design, we feel that a beautifully designed home is a place where we can fully be ourselves! Whether building a new home or remodeling an existing home, our team will collaborate closely with builders and architects and work closely with clients to create lively spaces that match tastes and aesthetics unique to them. When we’re designing, we’re envisioning a home as a place that inspires our clients every day, and that feeling of inspiration impacts all aspects of their lives!
MEET
KAYLIE
Joining the industry through a passion and love for design, Kaylie started with her father and her mutual love for remodeling and furnishing homes- something we enjoyed doing together in Corpus Christi, Texas. After he passed away Kaylie took a leap of faith and began successfully flipping houses in Dallas, TX. Along the way, she met an incredible team of people at CPG Development where she worked under an extremely talented and long-standing designer, Candy Munster. This is was where a lot of growth and development happened. In 2018 I founded KJ Lucas Design and began to work on independent projects alongside my work with CPG and now here I am- working in both Dallas and Austin.
OUR PROCESS
PLAN
During our initial meeting, we ask a number of relevant questions to help us understand your primary goals for the project and determine your desired aesthetic. We balance our approach to design with aesthetics that are not only pleasing to the eye but serve your lifestyle in realistic ways. Following this initial meeting, we will provide a design scope that outlines project details, timeline and anticipated budget.
DESIGN
A design vision starts to unfold as concept meetings begin. We believe that design is about giving life to spaces, and we’re not afraid of making a statement in order to create spaces that are dynamic and energetic! We collaborate with you, the architect, and the builder to ensure clear communication and direction of all design details. Based on your feedback, the design is refined and selections are made.
DEVELOP
As design details are meticulously considered, our technical expertise shines. As a team, our designers are highly proficient in computer drafting and are experts at bringing a project to life. Customized specification documents are created at this phase for implementation in the field. Etch begins placing orders for all furniture, art and accessories, while custom details are being executed.
DELIVER
This phase has many exciting moments, as the design now starts to become a reality! Upon construction completion, we begin to install furnishings and accessories, while you sit back and relax. After all, we believe that great design brings comfort, togetherness, and completeness, and we want every client to experience that!
